Yamaha 8 Hp 2-stroke

Yamaha outboard for sale. Has not been run since 2020 but ran good then. Was stored without fuel and sprayed with corrosion inhibitor. Some body corrosion (paint peeling) but overall in decent condition. Located in St. Augustine. Gas tank included. $500

I've been eyeballing your add for some time. That little 8 hp Yammie is the sweetest engine ever built, but I already have one....trying to decide if I need two

Re: Yamaha 8 Hp 2-stroke

Any idea what it weighs?

Edit: Just found the answer. 27kg/60lbs. Excellent power to wgt. as 2-strokes tend to be. About the same as my Tohatsu 4hp 4-stroke.

Sounds about right...I was going to guess around 50 lbs...I know that it is easy to pick up with one hand..

That seems correct. Easy to handle off the boat but I did use a lift to put it on the dinghy. It is pretty heavy to manhandle over the transom in the water.
