Want To Buy: Yanmar Tach / Controller B25

Looking for a yanmar engine controller / tachometer. Namely all I need is one part of the tach. The two buttons behind the soft rubber button covers at bottom of tach simply plug into the unit. One of mine is toast (verified by swapping buttons with my other tach). It just plugs into the tach board with a female three prong connection.

A B20 B25 B30 or B35 would work for my needs.

Please see photo for the part I’m referencing. If have a whole unit may buy whole unit. Or if you have a bad tach or controller lying around and I can buy it for parts for those buttons I’d be grateful!

Seems to happen often...

Having the same issue here. One of the B20 pannels on our Leopard 40 has damage in same area. The rubber buttons AND the round bezzel around the instrument are missing. I tried to contact YANMAR if those parts can be bought separately but they didnt even reply... Point 3 in the attached photo.

Sorry i cannot help. Would a B25 work as well if a formerly B20 unit was installed and vise versa?

i just received an Email from a guy who is remanufacturing missing parts for the B25/B20 panel. Talking about the missing bezzel on my vessel or the missing rubber buttons on yours.

Just want to give you guys a little fraud alarm...

Because of the request to the B20/B25 panel, i received this PM from just registered "member" Donald0. see attached photo.

I contacted the email and talked a bit back and forth. Asking the potential seller to send me acctual photos of the unit. Many things didnt line up...

He told me he just made the pictures by himself and the pictures would show the unit to sell...

Well, in reality he just copied photos from the Max Marine website:

After i confronted him, he did not reply anymore...

Use caution dealing with this email or when getting "a friend wants to sell" PM...

All - I wanted to report back.

Overlord is in South Africa, super nice guy, had exactly what he said above, sold me a B25 for a fair price, delivered to the US inside of a week. Thumbs up to overlord.
