Zero Start 3500027 350-0027 Perkins Engine Block Heater Zerostart Temro

Seeking this obsolete engine block heater (with plate) for Perkins 6-354

I really need it. Even it if does work, I can use the plate.

Here’s a screen shot of the one that fits on the cylinder head. Also, this blanking plate is an easy thing to fabricate from a piece of ¼” flat bar. [ATTACH]

Thanks! I'm trying to figure out how they attached the element to the plate.

Notice in the image that the factory element has an s-curve. I must see if I can get a short straight element to fit the space.

I could take my current thin plate (under ⅛ inch), cut a hole and attach a ¾ npt internal thread rubber-washered tank fitting that an element would screw in to.

With ¼ as you suggest, is that thick enough to cut npt threads in? Or is there a better way?
