Anchoring in Lorain?

Is there room in the Lorain Ohio harbor to anchor? Looks like there is some room to the NW of spitzer marina

Up inside the NE corner is 10-11 foot of water. As long as you are out of the channel I would assume it is OK, if not pull into Spitzer marina.

I've seen the chart and I noticed the space outside the inner breakwall. I was asking about the space inside the inner breakwall next to spitzers docks

I understood the area you were considering but since it is NOT designated an anchorage and the Coasties are just up the river by the Lorain YC you may get hassled. A nearby marina my be the only option. Call the Lorain Coast Guard and ask.

42' sail

unless I'm blocking a fairway or too close to a security zone, I don't see why the coasties would hassle me
