Lake Ontario to NY

Hi there,


I was looking to get some advice for planning a trip from Lake Ontario (Toronto Region) to NY. There will be three people in total and we are headed down on a Grampian 30. We plan to leave September of 2025. From there, we plan on heading south through the ICW, but want to start with info for the first leg of the trip first. We are headed through Oswego and the Erie Canal.


Any advice is appreciated, however, we are wondering what timeline to expect on this trip (to NY). We understand we must take our mast down in Oswego and will be motoring as well. Also, are there any marinas we can store our boat at for a month in New York for a reasonable price before we continue our adventure south?


We will also take any advice on navigating the canal system!
