Best days

We've all heard the old joke many times. The 2 best days of boat ownership.the day you buy it and the day you sell it.
I propose a new second for that phrase. The day you buy it... And first launch every spring/ extended dry dock.
It's light winds,I've topped out at 3 knots of speed!
low teens in temp, I would have a sweater on this temp in fall.
But this is absolutely the best day I've had in months.
It doesn't hurt that it's my birthday, either.
I took the day off, rigged up and launched( first boat for our marina) I just finished a pizza made onboard from scratch, killed a couple bottles of Mount gay rum:-) and enjoying a peaceful day on the lake before the coming long weekend.
Feel free to add any happy moments in your sailing lives. Today feels like a good day to share happiness.

I feel ya, best and worst days at the same time. Took the wife set up sails, set the autopilot and played with all the Dolphins. Stopped and watched stingrays and sharks, fished a little. My wife said this was her favorite sailing day ever...Sky turned black, winds shifted and went to 40 knots, waves 8-10 and windlass is jammed, trying to smile and "ask" the wife what to do so as not to piss her off and let on that we might die lol.
Got back to the dock, sun came up, grilled out and laid back.....Best, worst, best
