Best time to buy a new boat

Hi All!

I'm currently in the market for a sailboat (exploring both new and used options). Being at a boat show this weekend I experienced the honored sales tradition of time pressure, a lot of if "you want the boat before the start of summer next year you need to order in the next few months", "the best prices are now", etc.

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this. I live in Sweden so our sailing season is a bit short, my original plan was to order a boat February time next year in hopes of having it in time to do a bit of summer sailing. Of course i want to be able to time it to get a good price as well.

Any advise or experience people have with new boat purchases would be very helpful.
