Wink I finally own her!

Its been 3 long years of searching for the right ship but she's mine and I love her! I now own a beautiful Tayana 37 which I found in San Carlos Sonora Mexico and I am living on her here. Hull #539 she has the aft cabin and no teak on the decks....just what I wanted. I got close to owning a couple HC 38s in my travels but I am so glad I kept looking. I would like to thank all of you for the valuable, interesting, and often hilarious information and entertainment you have provided. Special thanks to boatman61 and snueman.
Fair winds everyone.
(Will post pics as soon as my phone decides to co operate)

Re: I finally own her!

Thanks Phil, ben a while, but the boat hunt kept me busy.
Kimmicro, I actually tried, in 1985, to convince my new bride to move onto a Hughes Columbia 36 in Toronto. Wasn't ever gonna happen. I should have taken that as a strong sign that we were incompatible haha.

Congrats Blue--you are enjoying the first of 2 great days in the ownership of a boat.
Hope the 2nd one is a long way off.

Re: I finally own her!

Well done on finding one with no teak...I realize people like teak, but me, I prefer a couple of thousand fewer holes in my deck, thanks. Wood belongs on the inside for me.

Maybe it was the "Toronto" part she didn't like.

Re: I finally own her!

Congrats, Any pics? Wonderful boat. Great Bob Perry design. Came close to buying one but it needed to much work. No teak decks is a major plus.
