Such a “tired bitter old man’s” comment.
If you don’t like it don’t watch it If you kind of like it but don’t want to pay for it. Watch it for free.

To make interesting content every week is time consuming. The good ones makes money the others don’t. Simple Supply and Demand principle and why would that be more begging than writing a book or making music?
Me on the other hand find it amazing that anyone can produce a 20 min program, often more exciting than any major channel production with million dollar budgets.

I assume your whining is due to jealousy. I don’t like green peas, but I wouldn’t spend time on internet bashing them

Re: Make Money While Cruising - List

One thing I have thought about but feel it may be a big hassle is going back into making lamps. The only two ways I can see to make sales is by way of the internet or selling at local events like flea markets, bazaars, craft shows, and maker events. Everything would have to be loaded/unloaded to go to the area. Then setup/broken down for only 1 to 3 day events. Granted a 3 day event may pay off but it cuts into time for exploring new areas. I'm not sure if I can stay in one place all for three days straight.

Heh.

Something will break and you will for sure be somewhere for three days ++.
Probably more often than you would like.

To both of you. I spent a decade trying to make money on those. In 2008 when I started, I could max out at $200 a month. It is all very dependent on how your profile reads and keeping it updated monthly. If you look at it based on payouts versus time spent, it's less than a fraction of one cent. I have spent 45 minutes on many surveys to earn points that equaled to less than $0.10. I made a grand total of $170 last year on them. I kept track of the time I spent on surveys. I was spending up to three hours per day doing surveys, with most days being less than 1.5 hours. Less than 5% of suveys payout after completing them. Imagine spending up to 1.5 hours on one survey just to hit a page that says, " You did not qualify for this survey." You get no compensation at all for this. I did surveys religiously every day for the last year. I did it to see if I could turn any profit. Average 1 hour a day for 365 days that's $0.004794520547945205 per hour of time spent. Not even a half of one cent per hour.

No, I never tried and of these.

I did participate in several product surveys (my Mom was the surveyor) for cigarettes, wine, and beer. We weren't paid cash, just received free take-home "samples", in addition to the product used in survey.

Thanks for your feedback, Ben. I suspected as much.

My post was not to debunk. Relax.
Surmise the world is full of come-ons and fake promises.
Sort of similar to the dream of making a living while cruising. Maybe a few here and there. Far and away most...ahhh....no.

I don't blame you for keeping it quiet any one of the dozens/hundreds of others already making them might steal your idea; not millions to be made, but even one more should be able to earn/trade for a few beers over the course of a year.

This would be in line with your desire to wander the world.
The downside being that when upon arriving you discover that one or more of your guests doesn't actually have a 'valid onward airline ticket' - it's very easy to obtain online a confirmed airline ticket, upon which payment's not due for 24-hours; it'll look OK, but if the subsequent payment wasn't made it's now worthless. At that point (and immigration officers around the world are wise to the scam and can/do check with the airlines) then you as the ships master are financially responsible for that passengers onward travel and you can't get them 'signed-off' the crewlist, you'll either have to take them with you or put up the cash/bond for their flight cost and the latter is not generally 'the cheapest flight out', but the cost of a ticket to their home country. This is one reason why 'ocean hitch-hikers' are becoming fewer, most boat owners/skippers have heard the horror stories and don't want to take that risk.

I know lots of people personally, that do pretty well trading the FOREX market. One of my friends started with $1000, grew it to 10k and then blew it back down to 1k all in 1 month. but now he is back and averages about 2,500 a week.

Another suggestion, a lot of people usually have a bad taste for is, network marketing. Some of these companies you can do 100% online. Some are complete scams others are legit.. Same as any other business people anywhere. i.e. brokers, mechanics, etc.. bad apples in anything. But there are lots of good apples too.

I've traded stocks, penny stocks, then FOREX, and tried building a couple MLM/network marketing businesses. They take mental toughness, dicipline, and time, the reward is worth the losses, and time spent.

Learn more about FOREX: School of Pipsology | Learn Forex Trading
Book, Naked FOREX ebook: http://www.forexfactory.com/attachme...mentid=1518858
Download the "MetaTrader 4" mobile app, also for mac, windows, etc.

iMarketsLive FOREX company, that has really great services and education. Also an MLM company you can do online.

My two cents.

Downside to trading, is you stop trading, money stops flowing, but its pretty easy to do once you got it down. Some it takes them a month to figure it out, others take a year or more. If you put in the time like you would a college degree, or high school, you'll master a skill that will really let you be free. Out of all the options to making money while cruising, day trading, investing is probably the simplest. "Mindset"
Thanks for the info. Do you have a username for iMarketsLive? Semms to be the only way they will talk to you. I realise you sent this message a few years ago. But worth a try!!

Re: Make Money While Cruising - List

I see this site has it's quiet times, and i guess this is one of them. Hopefully it will fire up again because it has been interesting reading for the last week or so. having read it, I am convinced I am going to have to go and do 'locum' work for a few months every year, in the winter, maybe for the NHS in the UK. The challenge is to keep up my registration which requires CPD - continuing professional development.....
