Need Advice: Starting off in the charter/broker world

Hello Boating World,*

I am looking to step into the charter boat world as both a broker and a charter crew. I want to know your perspective on the industry; the pros and cons...tell me the ugly truth. What resources/services do you use to keep track of clients and expenses? If you could change something about the industry, what is it?*What do you love the most about the charter/broker world?

I want to know your stories so I can learn!*
THANK YOU*

Re: Need Advice: Starting off in the charter/broker world

About the broker aspect: Go work for a broker, flip boats on your own, sell / find boats for your friends who need one. If you haven't those options, your plan is nothing but an empty bullet point on a list.

As charter crew, it's similar: Sail, sail, sail, be around people sailing and needing crew. If you're offering enough and lucky, you might make it. If all you have is a some research on the internet, this is another pipe-dream.
