Sailing Nassau to Abacos - need course advice

Hello, we are planning three weeks one way from Nassau to Marsh Harbor and the Abacos. Any advice appreciated on sailing courses and routes. Is it best to go to Eleuthera first or direct to Abacos? I left all our cruising guides on the boat

When we used to go from Nassau to Abaco we'd leave Nassau out the east end, up to Chubb Rock (going to Rose Island way) and then over to Royal Island on Eulethera. Sit in Royal Island till the weather's favourable and then shoot down a bit to Egg Island and then over to Abaco.

Or if you want to spend a bit of time in the northern Exumas go to Ship Channel Cay, east of Nassau and the up towards Beacon Cay, through the Fleeming Channel to Royal Island. This will give you a few days in the northern Exumas.

we will spend time in the Exumas later on. Want to head for the Abacos this trip.
