Bahamas clearance regulations

Hi there,

I'm planning to take a boat from Miami to Barbados next week, having to fuel up in the Bahamas without going ashore. Would I still have to clear with their Customs and Immigration, only being in transit.

Any information on that would be greatly appreciated - thanks!

Re: Bahamas clearance regulations

i the rules apply even for just passing through territorial waters. docking makes getting caught more likely. i do not see them waiving any revenue just because you did not go ashore and spend money. either pay their outragous fee or plan on not getting caught. maybe you need a few extra fuel cans instead.
