Coral Sea Explorers

Years ago, when kids, we hung out behind many a Coral Sea Reef and saw plenty of wrecks and wildlife. This year we intend to explore this area again on our way to Torres Strait, late May through June this year. Anyone going that way?

Re: Coral Sea Explorers

Head straight out, first stop Cato Reef 300 NM NNE, from there Wreck, Frederick. Mellish is the furthest out, and not shown on this chart, from Mellish back in towards Willis, now that's an interesting place, maybe Osprey or direct to Raine Island Entrance. We'll see. Allow about a month, it could get windy in June.

Great trip working way north to Willis Island etc.

Don't miss Diamond Islets on your way North.

We've been out to Mellish twice, had people with us and did not stop at Lihou reefs.

What are they like? Vegatated? Birds?
