Diesel heater controller display doesn't work

This is my 3'rd display controller that doesn't work. It shows just colours when connecting to battery and diesel heater. Am I doing something wrong?

Not sure, I bought some identical looking ones of ebay as spares, turned out neither of them where working with my heater.
Someone suggested that one needs to get the display with a matching control board and replace both.

I got this answer from the seller:

Remote Control To Code Description:

In the off setting state, press the up button first and press the confirmation button to maintain more than 3 seconds.

To enter the remote control to the code interface, display HFA-, press the remote control to launch the remote control code, after the code exit the code interface, the machine enters the boot state, if the code failed will not enter the boot state. The timeout of the code will automatically exit the code state.

Might try it on mine..

I bought a spare as I thought mine was going out. Haven't used it yet but thanks for the post

You better try them, I did that too and when testing I found out neither of them worked despite looking the same.

I got a full refund after letting the supplier know I'd was about to give it to a lawyer.
At first they tried to offer a 10% discount. Obviously ridiculous for goods not working at all.
Guess not many really complain as the displayd are kind of cheap.

As my old display was and is still working I could proof that it's not the heaters fault.
Oh and btw. one of the displays I received was not even new...

I haven't tried it cause I didn't quite understand the message I got from the seller... Did you understand it?
