Does Anyone Know Westsail Sailboats ?

If the OP is still interested in Westsail and for what its worth I almost fell for negative speak the naysayers.

Long story short I went searching for a live aboard boat over a span of 2 years and kept reading conflicting details about Westsails. That all changed the day I stepped inside one - hesitantly by the way, my wife made me do it - its only 32 feet I argued.

That first boat was a Kendall but needed too much work, that did narrow my search however and thus we finally made the best chose picking Harbinger. Then that day we sailed her well lets say I became hooked. This FULL keel WIDE a$$ MASSIVE full of love sailing YACHT is a diamond in a goats a$$ so to speak.

I consider riding this ass a privilege and will ride her to the heavens, as long as my wife is watching, wait this is getting strange.

Reminds me of that movie Hidalgo that poor horse kept getting beat up but in the end he won the Trans-pac, survived the perfect storm and has taken more people around the glob than most boats available to date.

I though we all did in fact why would you buy a boat an not love it? I love the Westsail and being part of the Westsail community - take it or leave it the OP wanted to know so here I stand informing the masses.

Fire away people hate the Westsail and me for that matter but you'll be looking over my blog, soon you will also be smiling with me as I sip drinks in the sun off the beaten path in my vintage girl.

I've made this statement a dozzen times over the last few years on different forum whenever the topic of boat makes comes up..
and its not just the boat make, or model, or the keel, being its fin or full , or the rig,
In the last ten years the wife and I have been cruising and to this day, the only place the argument of the formentioned comes up is on the internet, .. I've sat and swapped stories with many a westsail owner over these years and performance issues dont arise..
If what you have fits your needs, well good on you..

The wife and I thought we needed a bigger boat...37-42', but after looking at the Westsail32 and taking her for a sail, we were hooked! And really, the only time I hear detractors is on line. For me, I love this boat and feel I have little to complain about!
