Family of six about to set sail on liveaboard adventure

I'm new to this forum. In March 2015, our family of six bought a St Francis 50 catamaran. Since then, we have radically downsized our belongings, and are now living in a campground waiting for refits to be completed. Our kids are ages 9, 7 and 4 year-old twins.

We set sail on August 15th. The lifestyle is new to us, and we are excited to begin our liveaboard adventure. We plan to sail for 2 years to start, and perhaps as much as 8 years, if the lifestyle and homeschooling work for us.

I am documenting my transition from landlubber to competent blue water sailor. If you're interested you can check out my blog at:

Thanks,
Lorraine Escher
