Hitchhiker cats

Hi,
can someone give me some info on Hitchhiker catamarans, I am looking at buying a 10 meter cat for coastal cruising, Not after comfort just an easy and safe cat to sail..I have not sailed a catamaran before ...just want to do it.....thanks.

Simple flat panel ply, not a bad old boat, John Hitch was quite a good designer. Certainly volume over performance, but they won't embarrass you either. You will likely pay between 60k and 90K and have a lot of fun for the money

The key will be getting a good multihull surveyor to assess hull quality.

looking at a 10 meter Hitchhiker for sale in cleveland, has been on the market for a long time now and price has gone down a lot in 6 months.
