Well, so far, I have only had a few lost souls show up trying to get directions to the right slip. A little annoying sometimes, but hardly worth powder and shot.

Thankfully in most civilized places you will still go to jail for 20 year for shooting someone even if they are on your property. I think in most marinas such a problem would be rare, but OP is basically living in a very popular bar (Photo Gallery for Carlos'n Charlie's on Lake Travis in Austin Texas). Not really a typical marina.
