We are on a mooring in Sunset Bay Marina Stuart FL right now, and it looks like there are plenty liveaboards on the boats at the docks.

We are in Riviera Beach Municipal docks. Docks are great but rest of the facilities are under construction. Decent showers and laundry. Costs less than Old Port Cove or the docks near down town WPB (because of location I'm sure). We will probably stay for summer. It is the first time I will have spent more than 2-3 days at any dock. I feel so civilized!

Three are a few slips for cats at Titusville Municipal Marina and they allow liveaboards. Just about the cheapest there is. Lived aboard here for over a year.

We're currently at Regatta Pointe Marina in Palmetto and they have several slips that accommodate cats. Twin Dolphin across the river has some space as well but they were full when we first asked. Both places have lots of liveaboards.

Doesn't living on your boat in Florida for longer than X days (60? 90?) trigger some kind of sales tax or other costly event for non-florida resident cruisers?

Re: liveaboard marina for multihull in florida

After 90 days the State of Florida requires a state registration. This would be an annual fee of $132.50 for a 41' boat like mine. .... 'seems reasonable If you buy a boat in Florida sales tax is required unless you remove the boat from the state within the same (I believe) 90 day period.
