Living in Barcelona

Hello everyone,
This is my first post, so sorry in advance if I'm breaking some rules.

So here goes, I'm French but I live and work in Barcelona. I have a passion for sailing, and I have passed my French levels.
In November, my goal is to buy my own sailboat (about 11m) but to stay in Barcelona.

So I'm looking for testimonials about Barcelona harbors (and also Badalona and Port Ginesta).
I contacted PortOlympic and they told me they don't allow boaters who live on their sailboat, I really didn't understand why...

Do you have any recommendations/tips on living on a sailboat in Barcelona please?
(noise, safety, cleanliness etc).
