Longterm storage on the hard in Trinidad .

We will be arriving in the Caribbean from Brazil around early May 2016 . We own a 40ft monohull and would like to store her on the hard for around 7 months while we return home . Can you recommend a decent boatyard for storage and where some work could be carried out later on our return , preferably done by ourselves or someone we approve of ?

We would appreciate your advice , many thanks in advance .

Re: Longterm storage on the hard in Trinidad .

For secure storage ashore the main Chaguaramas yards should be considered. All have active security in place, Peakes has a secure compound with dogs running free at night.

TTSA has some hard standing but is mainly for TTSA members but you may be able to negotiate a deal, though in three years there did not come across anyone who had stored ashore there.
