Medical chest, here paperwork & prescription drugs.

Hi,

we are putting together our medical chest. Amongst them a number of prescription drugs, like antibiotics and strong pain killers.
We will keep a copy of the normal prescriptions (in my name) and a list of all medications onboard.

Question, do we need to have anything else in paperwork regarding this when crossing non EU borders?
Does one need to be able to lock the medicine locker?
Especially regarding the pain killers, do you disclose everything always when checking into a new country (I think that seems sensible)?
I'd feel disclosing makes sure there is less risk that you get fines if they find something later which might not be acceptable in a specific country.

Boat and owner are German.

Thanks for sharing experiences.

I think you've pretty much covered it.
I'd keep any prescribed 'restricted/controlled' drugs in their original packaging.
I’d also prepare a drug inventory ‘log’, listing all medications stored, date, time, and quantity used [by whom], and remaining quantity.
