In the Caribbean this was rum, in Australia and South Africa it was wine - don't know how Aussies have the reputation as beer drinkers, prices were higher than Canada. Best place of all was Panama, everything was cheap so we really loaded up at a Costco-lite store in Panama City.

Re: Month 55 Expenses of Cruising and Living on the Boat

Yesterday stayed in a slip for first time in 2 months. We are on our way back to States and needed to check out. $145 for slip for 1 day. Rocking all night across the dock with the surge $0

Paid the in season higher rate because it is the busy season. But there were only 4 boats there and our 41’ was the baby,

Got to do 1 months worth of laundry. $40

We each had 2 beers at bar while doing the laundry $31

Took out 2 weeks of trash off the boat.

Decided to to have 1 last dinner and preselected choices (same Bahamian fare everywhere) abd went fancy by adding soup to dinner. We each had 2 beers and we were the only people scheduled for dinner that night. $160 by far the most for a meal we paid in Bahamas

Correction, with VAT that 1 day in a slip was $180.26.

Just got 36 gal diesel, 4 gal gas, 2 days for a mooring, all for $168. Sometimes it is good be a local in USA
