Talking My Dream!?

I know we all have heard it before and seen many posts but I'll put mine out there!

I am looking for a good starter boat. A simple single hull sloop, 30 footer?(give or take), boat that can be single handed but have enough room for two. 6ft headroom and a diesel engine. A full keel with about 4ft(+-) draft. Tankage that would work for cruising. One that would not cost a fortune to buy or to fix up.

That is close to what I am looking for but can adjust. Anyone know of a boat that might fit what I am looking for? I am mainly looking for a clean, sturdy, solid basic boat that is in good repair and is forgiving and sails well for coastal cruising. Maybe go to the Bahamas and the Abacos. The above is what I really want but willing to compromise. I live in South Carolina. Are there any prospects close to me?

Hi WA Brown
I think your going to find a lot of boats that fit your needs - prices are coming down every day now and will get lower in 2-4 months from now- so you have time to find your dream boat- at a great price start by looking online- someone will post a link im sure Good Luck

WA,

Get on Yachtworld.com and use the advanced search feature to narrow down the choices. It's a great resource, and very educational.
