Need help on finding a good yacht yard in Florida

Hi Community,

I am looking for an affordable boat yard in Florida to put my Catamaran (39') on the hard during the months may till november.

So far I contacted a yard in Ft. Pierce but the price they quoted was on the high side (around 700$ per month).

I want the boat to be hauled out and stored on the dry. Access needs to be done with standing mast.

May I kindly ask for your advice.

Many thanks

Klaus

In most yards the beam is the limiting factor. What's your beam?

The beam is 5.6 meters = 18.4 feet

Call Indiantown Marina 772-597-2455 if you can get under a 55' bridge. Good luck.

Obviously I missed your last post. Indiantown will obviously not work for you.

The cheapest yard for storage in Florida is Green Cove Springs Marina and Boatyard.

Robbies boat yard in Key West is fairly well priced but a little risky for hurricane season. Also Catamaran Boat Yard up in Key Largo has pretty good prices.

Other than that, you need to go way north to around St. Augustine before finding better pricing.

At least that has been my experience.

Ditto. Green Cove is the best bet.

Green Cove Springs Marina and Holland Marine are good choices, but if you want to stay further south then Westland Marine at Titusville is worth checking out.

I would recommend looking for a non-affordable marina or boatyard. It will be much easier to find. I anxiously await the day when I read a post such as "I am looking for the most expensive, overpriced (fill in the blank) for my boat..." Until then, even if one does not add in "affordable" or cheap or low cost, I will still assume they are looking to spend as much money as is possible.

I am sure this was an unintentional spam. Your link does NOT go to a marina but rather a supply company in Canada. I am sure you did this by mistake.

I enjoy this humor, but then I understand the request also. We sometimes stay at marinas that have things such as a Heated pool, Tiki Bar, Uniformed Staff, Air conditioned Lounge, and more; however, we most often don't really appreciate all this stuff. We've have also stayed at marinas that had marginal power and water, mongrel dogs, snakes, rotting piers and dirt paths with outdoor showers.

We make choices,- I understand the request.
