We use a Craftsman 20v garden-sprayer.

We like it because the batteries fit our other Craftsman 20v tools.

The shower has nearly everything wrong with it, and at this point we will be stripping the head almost completely to redo all the work that is necessary to make it functional. Our solar shower heats up beside the shower outside and runs into through a port holes now to assist us with getting clean. Is it perfect, no. Does it work, yes. That's all that really matters in the end.

Sounds like you've got a valid plan

Re: Only showering at marinas?

I have a cockpit shower in my boat, it was easy to install, cost like $150 bucks for the shower-head, and probably another 60 bucks in plumbing stuff to get it tied into the system.

I did hook it up to hot water. Now that I have had it every boat I ever have in the future will have one as well. It is nice showering in the cockpit rather than inside it keeps the steam out.
