Re: That's it, I'm done!

Sorry I missed this post. We have been working and living on on our boat for exactly a year now. As soon as the new alternator is installed, we finish the aft deck (leaks) and decide what windlass will work for us we outta here. Should be gone by August. I can't believe that the original list of "stuff" preventing us from cruising is down to 3 items.

I can hear the wonder/relief in your post and can put aside my envy and hope you BOTH enjoy it more than you can imagine! Bravo!

Re: That's it, I'm done!

Retirement in December is the big hold up now. We also need to do some work on our apt in order to rent it out. And our small boat needs some attention, but that's getting close.

We scheduled a three week vacation to coincide its the SSCA Annapolis GAM.

sounds like the Wife. Is warming to the idea of taking th small boat up the Erie Canal and down the St Lawrence to take her back to Newfoundland. But that won't be before late May.

In the meantime we will probably head south in the big boat as soon as we can after official retirement.

Can't wait. Nervous as hell. Don't deal with change elegantly.
