Don so long as you don't rush into it, you are unlikely to buy something you don't want. Take your time. Visit any boat you think is "the one" several times- make the broker earn that commission!

You know as well as I that men buy this type of item on emotion alone. Why else would some guy buy a supercharged Corvette 427 when he's a janitor working for minimum wage? He can't even afford the gas, let alone the insurance, even if he did save every penny for the last 10 years to get the down payment on the car.

I just have to keep that in check.

Doubts setting in about the offer on my house. The buyer put in offers at two houses, mine being the back up. The other house is a bank owned forclosure that already has two other offers on it. That looks good for now but they haven't accepted our counter offer yet. The counter was only for contractural items and was not about price. I should know more today.

Thanks for the info. I may be stuck in California a bit longer than I was crowing about. The "offer" may have fallen through. This sucks.

I had a whole career where every job was like that. Never knew till the contract signed / bum on seat in plane / money was in the bank (1/2 up front) etc.

Nobody would talk about their upcoming jobs in case they fell through... it was like a big superstition LOL
