Re: Took the first and Biggest step and got a 1975 Irwin 10-4 today :)

should work i have been seeing alot of videos and articals that alot of people are switching to them for ease of maintenance and such like no more pump out fees vs sewage tank.. we are paying 3900 and the guy is willing to take payments so we lucked out it needs minor work and repair thats about it from what i see and he has been pretty upfront about things

Re: Took the first and Biggest step and got a 1975 Irwin 10-4 today :)

sounds like you got a good deal. I am waiting to see how a job interview goes. If I get the job I plan on using the relocation $ to purchase a small boat and stay in a marina in the area- found a nice one for $200 amonth for water, power and wifi- cheaper than I can rent a place plus I'll have a boat If I don't get it I will keep looking anyway I'm sure. I've also been thinking about going with an electric motor instead of diesel- don't want gas. If I could get enough batteries stored I could feasibly run it off solar power which is free and I like that plus don't have to depend on finding any place to get good fuel. I guess I want a self sustained floating home, working on how to grow food on board

Re: Took the First and Biggest Step and got a 1975 Irwin 10-4 Today :)

and i just stumbled upon belle haven even closer to her job and seems like a very family oriented and friendly environment after looking into it more and i like that as i hope to have my young daughter visit me when she is able and now since i will have aplace and the room for her too i feel immensely happy ...saw a review somewhere a guy had been living anchored there for the past three months and gave good reviews...anyone have any experience with Belle Haven marina area?
