Re: Tricks for Stowage

here is an idae for storing wine. we make our own wine at a local u-brew but "bottle it" in the heavy duty plastic bags the consentrate comes in, then store it low in the boat. makes for great ballast until it gone! seriously, we can store the equivallant of 62 bottles of wine in three cardboard boxes taking up less than 3cuft

Re: Tricks for Stowage

I've found the issue with hanging things is the holes that can get worn in the clothing by the constant motion.

Re: Tricks for Stowage

We live on a 33' and have one hanging locker. It is adequate for both of our working clothes (which are more like business casual). We have a ton of space under our pullman berth for storing less worn clothes (winter stuff). She usually keeps her work shoes in the car since they are not appropriate in a boat anyway.

We normally go through our stuff regularly to determine if we still need it or not. Most of the time if it hasn't been used in a year, it is gone.

The biggest secret to successful stowage is....

REDUCE, REDUCE, REDUCE

Re: Tricks for Stowage

We have an Endeavour 43 ketch (50 ft overall). Big boat, lots of storage. I tend to lose track of where things are, so we try to label as much as possible. It will help in the long run.
