Another one bites the dust

Yacht manufacturer Etap has gone into liquidation,these guys built some fine boats,dehler their parent company went bust before xmas.
on a more amusing side,the Adult entertaiment industry is asking for a Gov handout.

you just have to see the funny side of that one

"The Belgian yacht builder, Etap has officially announced its insolvency following in the wake of its parent company Dehler's announcement before Christmas.

The statement reads:
'Due to the insolvency of Dehler Deutschland GmbH, ETAP Yachting - branch of Dehler Yachts Belgium BV - has applied for insolvency too. ETAP Yachting declared insolvency on the 7th of January 2009.' "

I said in another thread a while ago that this financial crisis would send some companies to the wall, but that would be a good thing for the industry as a whole. The last few years theres just a few too many boat builders to be making it viable long term.

As for the Adult industry asking for a hand out...... Maybe they charge too much? I asked for 50% off. And I go it. Just the top

glad i cheered someone up Kai,unfortunatley Etap will not be the last,the local boat builder of repute has shed 400 jobs in the last 3 months,Fairline were one of the best paying employers around.I launch my lillte max26 from their yard sometimes,my 15k trailer sailer gets dwarfed by the 5 million dollar floating gin palaces
