Not exactly sailing, but "Cool Change" by the Little River Band sure makes me want to head for the boat!

I sail in a area where there are lots of submarine training areas, just to get myself noticed I tend to plug in the iPod and play Echoes from Pink Floyd. Thought I'd give em a familiar sound cause I know they are listening!! Or is it me just being paranoid?

Nah, you need a bit of Sid Vicious for that

So having lowered the tone, I'll get my coat.

Brilliant song, but not really sailing stuff unless your bashing into the teeth of a F6

Thanks Pete7,

Just after submitting, I thought, I should have added Black Sabbath too the message, Good One!

But my mobile plays "Life on the Ocean's Wave" by the band of the Royal Marines, have to be careful though with that, I sail most of my time in German waters! They might not appreciate it, and I don't have the theme from Das Boot on my iPod. ;-)

Some are about fishermen or boats as opposed to just sailing and there is a decidely folkie bent as I was a folk musician but I like:

Lyle Lovett- If I had a Boat (myfavorite)
Archie Fisher- Final Trawl
Silly Wizard- The Fishermen's song
Styx- Come Sail Away
The Decemberists- Sons and Daughters (tied for my favorite)
Solas- Fair Maid on the Shore
Rolling Stones- Gimme Shelter (ok, not about sailing but it goes really well with crap weather WHILE sailing)
The Waterboys- Fishermen's Blues
Old Blind Dogs- Braw Sailin'
Beth Patterson- To the begging I will go ( perfect for cruising!)

Nobody like Lonely Island? Ok, maybe it's not about sailing but... well, you be the judge.
