j/k of course and yes our taxes are high, the cost of living in Vancouver is high, our politics is wacko, our winter is wet but other than those things, the natural beauty and outdoor activities are awesome. Sailing, fishing, diving and skiing are the most prominent and are world class.

Re: British Columbia?

As Cpt Wraun said.

Yes we are highly taxed, but it's not "The Governments Social Programs" it's our Social programs.
You need to understand the difference, we actually don't have a problem helping the unfortunate as a nation.
And our taxes take care of our parks, and waterways, our streets, and Refuse collection, the list is huge, because this is a Huge Country.

We don't like paying extra for something we cannot see the benefit from.
So...Yes..there are Taxes we don't like,,,but we understand that without them,we would be at the Mercy of the Corporate Giants, very much like another Country i could Mention.

CANADA... THE LAND OF THE FREE..

Re: British Columbia?

Exactly. I feel like I get very good value for my tax dollar. Could be better, I'm sure, but overall I'm satisfied with it.
