Dear Mr. James,

Good Day,

If you are still looking for a boat for loading cargo - we have a 430 tonne capacity dhow for sale. Kindly advice.

Regards

Lead time is a bit short so I've decided to buy a new 20meter fiberglass Dhow manufactured here in Yemen.
I'll have the factory make some hatch and hold modifications to make it more cargo friendly.
These things are a rough bit of work, to put it nicely...they are made for local consumers.
Heres a the specs and couple pics.

This is going to be an interesting project..For the most part I'm going with the "when in Rome" when it comes to the initial set up.
I will upgrade to hydraulic steering.

Thanks for the offer princesindbad, but I've got one.
We finally got permission to start building our little jetty, so have been messing around with that.
I've been working on a plan for how to construct the vertical sea wall at the end.
Been learning about how to place concrete using a "tremie" pipe, and looking at different ways of forming it.
I'd like to "key" the forms into the sandy bottom so have been working on a suction pipe type set-up like the "Keene"....I've never really messed around with one of these so this is a bit of an experiment.

Thats about it.
