Call for CF Meet 'n Drinks - Chesapeake

How about Annapolis area CFers getting together for a drink some night before we scatter to the four winds? When/where should we meet?

Given that this year’s SSCA Annapolis GAM is September 25 - 27, and the Annapolis Sailboat Show is October 8 - 12, perhaps the weekend of October 4 - 5 might be apropos, allowing CF members the option(s) of combining our get-together with one or both of these other interesting events.

I was kinda hoping for something a little earlier to cure the cabin fever, but I am open to that. Perhaps two getogethers -- one now and one later, as Gord suggests ...?

I'm going down on the 27th of this month to take a sail to St Michaels.
will be in Annapolis friday night. Usually go to Middletons and Mc Garvey's.

The Annapolis Nautical Flea Market (at the Navy Marine Corps Stadium on Rowe Blvd. and Taylor Ave.) is scheduled for the weekend of May 23 & 24, 2009.

Great idea, but how about a get together for the Aussie members "Down Under"? With the cruising season starting in April/May it would be a good opportunity to welcome Aussie a dn overseas yachties at say Mooloolaba or Manly? I'm a committee member at Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron so could organise something there. Any one interested?
