Can't find the site for those kite like sails

I searched.
I used the google with the site listed.
I can't find it.
Please help me find the site that had those kite like sails that could take the place of a spinnaker.........or whatever.

Thanks.

Thanks.

They have a variety of names because all the sail makers wanted to try to make them as a proprietary thing. they all failed but now the terms are wide ranging.

Look up Asymmetrical Spinnaker or MPS (Multi Purpose Spinnaker) but names can be Gennaker (also spelled differently) or Spanker, Cruising Chute, Shooter, Tall Boy, Blooper (but not really a blooper, but theys have they originated) and other names too

No.
These look like kites and are a long way from the boat - like those para-sail looking wings controlled on lines.......

Never mind I found a site.

Thanks all.

Sails that are not directly connected to a spar at some point are illegal for racing..but for cruising, who cares?!

I have no idea where to find them other than those inflatable ones that kite boarders fly, but those are probably way too small. I guess it would depend on the size of your boat and being able to manage them from the deck. I would imagine one of those kites could give you some pretty wild oscillations if not kept under control. Like one hell of a broach that you could not recover from unless you cut the line only to let it blow off into the distance. Hmmmm...maybe that is why they are illegal for racing?

I think "hitting a squall" would require you to not be looking behind you for a long time. The squall would hit you, and if that happened it would take the sail from you somehow.

And if that is how one sails then one does not need/deserve that type of sail.
