I think most people here are used to the la mordida as you put it, I believe it to be essential in most countries, particularly when dealing with officials,

I believe that means you have now accepted our nomination to be the President of Distribution, Vice president of Treasury, Head of Logistics and Person Friday.

Congrats on the new role

Well I couldn't possibly accept al those titles until I was ushered into the secret society of Moderators! And I think there are already plenty of those, especially if you count emeritus Mod.

Therefore I second the nomination of Gord! So there.

whispy clouds

There were some whispy clouds over my anchorage this afternoon. I tried to get a photo of them, but my burgees kept getting in the way.

Oh, that's not fair at all. It's so beautiful. I am crestfallen and will have to go for a south sound tour this week to asuage my agitation.
I take it that it was not your rig that was shown lying on the deck with women in bikini's all over?

Well, there was this vendor at the Annapolis Powerboat Show today that made CUSTOM burgees... Couldn't the 'powers that be' just tell us to go get our own made?

Great idea! He's likely to already have a payment mechanism set up. Or are the "powers to be" here expecting to make a profit? This guy could probably make all we need and mail them out.

My wife does canvas and sewing work professionally; should I bother asking her about it, or is this something that a shop does that will crank out a gazillion of them?

So, given that the burgee isn't in circulation yet, would it be too soon to ask if there's a t-shirt or polo shirt with the same logo?

Burgee! Burgee! Burgee! (But cool enough that at least hundreds of us want one. Also, it wouldn't be too hard to find a manufacturer who would gladly start a pay pal account for this. Margo, you are it.
