Women are humans. Enjoyed nearly a decade being intimate with a black woman as my wife until she called it off. Have many fond memories.

I heard if you meet your Wifey abroad and want to live eith her in Canada you have to be responsible for her financially for a number of years. Not a big deal really especially if she's highly employable.

You have a healthy way of looking at it

Did she ever sail with you?

The sailboat remained in dry storage.

That must've been tough, do you get out on the water more these days?

No, those were my boatless years. She didn't deserve to be abandoned. ... Now have a motor vessel with a new lass that doesn't want to be too close to the water so likes the current boat.

No hes's not joking, boatman will take a shot at the U.S. any chance he gets.
Look at his past posts. Very smug. If it's legit not a problem, but there is a lot of marriage for sale here within certain communities. It's a whole system, they pay $5,000.00 for a fake marriage memorize each others birthdays etc for when they are interviewed, then they work the system for all the free goodies. I had a Jamaican kid who worked for me and broke his ass the first year. By the second year he was a lazy you know what and asked me to say I new his fiance, went over their place often and asked me to sign a document to that effect. I fired him immediately. From the grapevine, got married, got food stamps, unemployment benefits and is sitting pretty off the tax payers. That's what the U.S. frowns upon Boatman. My brother Philippine house keeper offered me 5 grand to marry her. It's sad what goes on. Didn't mean to get off topic.

Sure, why not? Don't even have to kick them to the curb, just sail off.

Ah yeah it amazes me how often I hear that comment about the other half. Makes me wonder if showing them on YouTube just how far over a sailboat has to go to capsize. And new boats with high freeboard are amazing. Well, at least you can buck heavy currents now

Re: Dating Locals While Cruising

Oh I think you raised some good points related to the thread, if one is looking for love where a major difference in income exists it's always wise to be on the lookout for ulterior motives But hey, that's hardly unique to this situation. I guess the likelihood of me winding up with a scammer is slim as I'm simply not attracted to lazy and unintelligent freeloader types and those are easy to spot.

Probably also helps that I'm far from wealthy

No more than two weeks to register a boat in Canada if you know the routine. As a TC Appointed Tonnage measurer I'm involved in 3-6 registry's per month.

My son married a Korean girl in Korea...... 30 days to get her a visa and she had to stay in Canada for 18 months to get her citizenship..... no big deal. They now live and work in Netherlands.

Re: Dating Locals While Cruising

Most of them are horrified by the open water so long term cruising might be out of the question. I was married with one for seven years. Fond memories
