Disappointed in You All

It has been in the 70s the last couple days up here in the general Boston area and my boat is suppose to be back in the water in 3 weeks.

Just wanted to express my disappointment in you blessed warm weather sailors. Even though overall it was a very mild winter here (far as winters go) it still was freaking COLD!

How come none of you send me a personal invite to come down and freeload on your boat and provide me a nice catered vacation in the warm sun? I am willing to show you some snow on my end in return.

Maybe I need to spend more time on other sites and get some new fake friends.

You are invited to have a drink on my boat, but it snowed again last night. Would love to have a mild winter with 70 deg weather. Where's the invite now. It's 34 deg and blowing 50, gusting to 75. I need a break too. Just put your straw hat on w/ a hawian shirt, pour yourself a drink and remember last summer. It's all I have to keep going. Best to you.

Hey I love St Augustine! Wife grew up in Green Cove Springs and we would go over there for the beach when visiting!

But you need to be there next winter (and don't let my mother-in-law know I'm in the area).

Re: Disappointed in You All

Aloha Don,
I never thought to ask if you'd like to join us in Hawaii. You can hang out on the boat anytime. It's up on a trailer in the yard next to my house and we're doing some grinding on the deck and rebuilding the interior. If you're willing to vacuum up the fiberglass dust and clean up down below before you bunk down I'll provide sandwiches and an occasional beer.
kind regards,

Yah, where I am, 45*F is shirtsleeve weather. Right now its cloudy with occasional rain, and 39*. I assume this is not the tropical climate you want, right?

There was 2" of snow on my boat this morning out here in the Pacific North Wet. Come on over. We can go for a sail!

It got down to 68 degrees here last night. But the AC has been working overtime.

Re: Disappointed in You All

We had snow this morning and hail this afternoon. It's supposed be daffodil's in bloom weather on Gabriola. Sunday night I was on the float home. 50-70 knot winds with waves crashing into us and the docks. That's not supposed to happen in Victoria in March! How are we going to keep feeling smug about our weather if this continues?

It's not as nice as you're thinking, Don. I had to put on a windbreaker while beating to weather on Sunday. For a moment or two I actually considered wearing a hat!
