Electric Dual Winch Controller

I have an electric dingy lift that utilizes two winches. It is controlled by a remote that plugs into the transome. The controller has two buttons, one for each winch that you push at the same time to get it either up or down. The contoller has pins at the end of a curly telephone like cord (except heavier) and only says "made in Italy" on it. Does anyone have any idea of who might be the manufacturer?

The controller would probably be made by the lift manufacturer. I would assume that the controller operates a solenoid that opens and closes as well as reverses the power. From that wiring you could have anything made that was required.

The platform with controller was made and installed by a company in Fort Lauderdale that is no longer in business. But the controller is clearly marked Up (2 buttons) and down (also two) and made in Italy. That's it.

controller

Google Imtra Marine Products... they used to stock a windlass controller made in Italy called a 'Quick' which sounds like what you are describing... 4 push buttons, hand held, heavy coiled phone cord type thing. Don't know if they still stock them or can get them... I no longer see them on their web site, but they had them 2 years ago. Worth a phone call.

My old Vetus controller looked like that too, but only two buttons not 4. You could make a new one if required.
