Re: Floating party barge in my back yard

Somebody has an entire floating house here in Panama City they will anchor out at shell island with, but that is a remote spot, nobody there but fellow partiers.
Where you are, surely they are subject to the same rules anyone is, if they are disturbing the peace, call the Cops.

It's pretty much a weekly thing now....neighbors are not happy because the music is LOUD.....cluster of a couple dozen people getting drunk all day... yell and scream.....and then start urinating in public. Not a good thing for the kids to watch.

Not a huge deal....something that will be resolved soon I think. I was rather amused at first at the ingenuity of these outboard powered floating party docks....but now people are getting carried away.

In this case there were TWO of these things.....one hip tied to a ski boat which was used as a means of propulsion.

If I lived in that quiet community, I would be concerned also....Hope they get bounced out of there soon.

That's exactly right....These aren't legal vessels. They anchor behind our homes because they don't wanna get busted by the sheriff's boats out in the Delta.

I didn't mind these things for awhile.....the first one I saw was small and decorated like a tropical island...potted palm trees and all. Usually 2 or three couples max, enjoying their sundowners...then they would move on before it got dark.

Now these double decker eye sores are anchoring behind our homes in the morning and blasting their so called music ALL day. I've been gone most of this month but the neighbors say these guys have been showing up every weekend now and they are none too happy about it. Every boater here knows how sound travels on the water.

In any case...I think calls were made today and this issue will soon be history.... It will be nice going back to enjoying our BBQs and cocktails in peace and quiet.
