We were related to the Rimes, Brannens, Bohlers and there might have been a Leadbetter in there.

No, not quite deliverance but lots of kissin' cousins in the neighborhood.

Hum, think I have a Branden or two on the tree. My Dad's half sister married one, I seem to recall. FYI for those not from the south, many women used two names and the guys were many times only known by their initials. Had uncles W.A. and R.L. Never knew what the initials stood for till they passed on. My dad's family ran to about 10 children. Most farms had 4-6 kids, so everyone married everyone else.

Got to watch out for those kissing cousins for sure...

Last time I was out that way the roads by the old farm still were not paved..

Yep. Six in my mother's family. Had a couple of those initial names in the family plus some double names and very down home nicknames; Emma Jean, uncles Buck and Tater. I think I was in high school before I knew Buck's name was really Allen. At this point I feel like I need to toss out a couple of Jeff Foxworthy jokes.

As in "you might be a redneck (could substitute south Georgian for this case) if your family tree doesn't fork."

Re: Florida Law Enforcement ie; FWC

I once took my young Nephew to my Aunt & Uncle's 50th wedding anniversary celebration, and I had to explain to him that he was related by blood to almost everyone there, so it was not a good place to find a date.

So to avoid a total thread drift, are we all pretty much agreed that the FWC troopers are a bunch of inbred [insert yer choice of derogatory noun]? And may in fact be related to Sailorchic/skipmac? That's a real forkin family tree!

While I'm wondering, I'm also curious if SC's moniker is pronounced like Sailor chick or Sailor sheek. (Worldwide readers know I'm speaking French here but I'm mentioning it for the benefit of those Mericans who may be related to to this clannish duo.)

Full disclosure: I have been in love with my cousin for about 50 years. Took her to my senior prom. My sister was jealous! Bless her heart.

Well it finally comes to light. Since he lives in FL we now can safety say that it is Skips' fault!

Who would have thought in the beginning.
