Re: If I Won the Lottery - What Boat to Buy ?

The Fisher things are very nice indeed. Seen a small one (25) then boats up to (38?). All very nice. There is a HR similar in style and it can be gotten with a reversed panes too: http://www.hallberg-rassy.com/hr94/H...Startfoto2.jpg

Cheers,

Friendship 75 at $7.5m would leave change to allow certain other purchases such as the odd case of Dom Perignon.

I'm pretty sure I could get used to that.

I came across these Waterline steel sailboats. I could be talked into one of these. This one seems a great bargain for $850k (1/2 the price of a new one)

Lottery up to $540 MILLION and expected to grow today. Pretty hard to get head around what boat to get if winning!

I'd get another couple strategically located in nice cruising areas.
And a new dinghy to get between them:

I'd still sail my 30 footer. Have not looked at another boat since I bought it. Though I might buy a small tramp steamer with a crane to carry it to areas around the world where I want to sail to save the wear and tear on it.

I'd hire someone to sail around the world for me and then tell me what it was like.

When you are truly wealthy you do not have to do all that work yourself.

Heck you don't need to win the lottery for that. There's already lots of books!

With that sort of money, making a choice would not be so difficult
