Image Hosting HELP Needed

In the past, I've used a couple of sites for image hosting. So as to be able to post pics online, here, & elsewhere. But the one's I've used, seem incredibly slow. Especially when uploading pics, & or, editing my albums, etc. Like Photobucket for example.

What do folks on here use, that aren't slow to upload & edit, to host larger volumes of photos? And, preferably, ones that have some privacy features, with regards as to who can view what, on your image site.
Though the higher upload speed thing is really key.

Thanks!

I believe Maine Sail (Compass Marine How To's Photo Galleries at pbase.com) uses PBase.com.
PBase.com - Pricing

We use Smugmug which is close to perfect... which also means it isn't free. But it's ad-free

Re: Image Hosting HELP Needed

Most Internet Service Providers (ISPs) throttle upload speeds. The problem is less likely to be the Web site you are using than your ISP.

Have you tried Shutterfly, flickr, dropshots, tinypic, imgur or Pinterest. For sure you will like one of them.

imgur works for me. Cut and paste is quickest using windows snip, dead easy and seems quick enough.. this took a second or so to upload

Re: Image Hosting HELP Needed

I use DropBox with an automatic backup app (DropSync). I put my photos on my tablet, they automatically sync in the backgroud, then I can post a link to them on DropBox.
