Mold

While we're out crusing, we keep our 05 jeep in a 24 foot storage container at the local storage yard..
This last time when we returned, I found mold growing in and around the dash, steering wheel, and console area..
I say it was mold.. kinda white chalky groth...
and the inside of the jeep was covered with damp areas..but the container is sealed and no water gets in..
Wondering how to keep the inside of the jeep dry while we're gone.. We have no electricty at the container. and this next outing could be for a couple years..

I would either sell the Jeep or store it outside where it will get sunshine and ventilation. I have stored boats and cars outside in the air for years with no negative effects. When storing for a long period of time, I usually leave a No Pest Strip hanging. It keeps critters out. Over the years, it has even kept mold out of our boat in Florida throughout the rainy season.

I use baking soda to keep moisture out of my tightly closed tool chests. After reading your post I went out and checked a chest that hasn't been opened in at least 5 years. No rust, no mold, but the box of soda is now a brick.
