Need help with a Latin phrase

I need to know how to phrase this: “Smith: giver of hope”

what i saw on google translate for “giver of hope” is “dator spei”

would it just be “Smith: Dator Spei” or is there more to it?

working on a Christmas gift for my son’s allergist.

I’m hoping our global reach here will be able to help

You need a time machine, not global reach. Very few of us these days can afford the galley slaves needed to row triremes.

don't forget the latin for a "smith",which refers to someone who works with metal

"faber ferrarius",“dator spei”

Adjusted it to gives one hope.. one has to remember its an ancient language so modernising phrases may not work..

Wonderful, thank you. My son is doing an oral immunotherapy protocol for peanut allergy. We’ve been told it wil be with him forever and may kill him. Now he is taking Small doses daily and building up a tolerance. It is a wonderful thing.

If this works, then on to iocane.
