You can't cherry pick a specific month at preach end and claim a trend doesn't work that way .
If you are trying to make a point, make it.

You have the UAH data set. Do the math yourself.

Presumably the fossil fuel age produced a lot more CO2 than just what was produced from burning fossil fuels alone, or is this an incorrect assumption?

You seem to be over analyzing.

Hey, have you taken the ProTruth Pledge? It's just above SkepticalScience's course on making sense of climate science denial! I was going to do it but I only have Rocky-the-Bulldog around the house tonight and he refused to be a witness. Dumb dog's probably been reading one of those climate denial aggregator sites again.

Some more from Wunderground

Most global heat records are set during or just after El Niño events, which bring warm undersea water to the surface across much of the tropical Pacific, thus warming the atmosphere above. This July’s record is especially striking because it occurred during a weak to marginal El Niño event.

Sounds like the data is all too susceptible to cherry-picking, at least over shorter periods of time (5 years). Or longer periods of time when it comes to sea level as we saw earlier (100 years). Or maybe medium-length periods of time too (? years), or maybe . . . .
