Whats wrong with that? It'd be a good sail, right time of the year, different end point than most cruisers have been...

Could be fun?

Re: Ok So Who Is Actualy Out Sailing This Weekend???

I was out a few weeks ago for a week but at the present, I am landlocked in the prairies doing the family tour thing and missing beautiful weather back at the boat. Will be back there on Monday so maybe nextweekend, all week or all summer.

Re: Ok So Who Is Actualy Out Sailing This Weekend???

Here in the Salish Sea, we're getting our two days of non-wet June this weekend. Although we're not sailing today (that 4-letter word problem), but tomorrow, Yes! Probably light wind, but 78 degrees cannot be ignored around here!

Hey Boatman, any chance your travels will be taking you through Greece... Leros in particular?

Left out early this morning to try out some recently installed systems while the Admiral visited some friends, good excuse to get away by myself.

Light winds on the Northern Chesapeake left us on the motor most of the day, tomorrow looks better.......

Re: Ok So Who Is Actualy Out Sailing This Weekend???

Just returned to the mainland from Hawaii. 21.5 day crossing in big seas and winds, from Cabo to Hilo. Just crewing for a friend to get him halfway home from La Paz to Seattle. He's got a couple of other crew coming in from Alaska for the second half, who've done that leg before. Great trip for me, fun and instructive, in big seas and winds. Some pics.

If you can't do it locally, jump onto anothers boat for a trip, maybe a delivery, maybe to Ghana. Some times it is best to just get on the water when the need is strong.

Re: Ok So Who Is Actualy Out Sailing This Weekend???

Spent one of the best possible sailing days (70+ degrees f. with decent North breeze)
helping my daughter rotate her tires and finding a wiggle problem in her car's steering.
Also helping the Admiral with the gardening (an 8 letter word), while the boat waits for me at the dock.

(sigh)

I gotta admit though, it's better than sitting in an RV waiting for a tree to fall on me !

I motor only. There's more gas than wind both on here and at sea.

Well, go get a job in the local pub pulling beers and wiping spew off the dunny walls.

Lots of folks don't have jobs in an area of their interest, or jobs at all.

Think of that and you will enjoy your voyage
