Re: Olympic Sailing, very funny

Speaking of hilarious. Did anyone see the Aussie W Elliot skipper get launched out of the boat in their match race yesterday?

Holy crap were they motoring. A shot of the committee boat anemometer showed 21g25 knots of wind.

The mast and bow didn't even look aware that the skipper was gone as they were wrestling the sails.

Then the Spaniards abandoned their boat after the final race and let it sail away - LOL...

What are the salvage rules there? I could use a slightly used 6m boat with recent sails...

Re: Olympic Sailing, very funny

That was great.

The Olympics should be a week longer for them to space out the events better and to allow more coverage of the less known events.

Re: Olympic Sailing, very funny

We were really lucky here - We had at least ten ESPN channels running continually. There was always something to watch (and more importantly avoid)

Sailing had great coverage and the time zone difference meant the events were all afternoon and evening for us.

Why would they take that down? If anything it just made me want to watch the olympics.

Personally, I thought it was overdone. The Irish do have a great sense of humour, but this guy has sort of trashed the humour out of it. It would have been a far better commentary without the bad language and trashing of people.

Re: Olympic Sailing - Very Funny

Aussie skipper on Elliot apparently did not listen to good advice from Ireland ;-)

Funny indeed.

How does one save that video?

right click gives no option. file>save as only saves the web page.
