This one made me laugh. have a look at the fourth pic and decide why they thought that it would help sell it.

A 14-foot mini-cruiser is minimalist. A 19ft is comfortable, and anything much larger than a 25 borders on ostentatious.

Maybe they thought their boat would look more like a Swan LOL?

We are currently sharing 'our' bay with one other boat - a 112 foot Swan "Highland Breeze". Charter costs are 7000 € per NIGHT.

Bet they are not having half as much fun as we are

This was listed recently on craigslist Honolulu as a sailboat for $500. For specifics look it up on craigslist.

Re: Post the worst 'For Sale' picture you've seen.

Okay, not a worst picture, but I'm getting really tired of ads that say something like "1992 Hunter, many upgrades..." and so on, but never--NEVER!--mentions what exact length/model the boat is! I've seen ads like this for Hunters, Morgans, Pearson, Benes... All of the manufacturers who make lots of different boats, of very similar size, that look a whole lot alike. I can't tell, from looking at the pictures, exactly what I'm looking at!

People! Tell me what boat it is that you're trying to sell!

Similar to what denverd0n said - I regularly see craigslist ads, no photo, with something like "Boat for sale, 1980s, many upgrades. $25k OBO."

Another slightly overvalued one, as well as over described.

Re: Post the worst 'For Sale' picture you've seen.

Rather than a "worst picture" this is more like a "stupidest broker" advertisement. These drive me crazy, because I've seen lots of ads like this over the years.

The boat is a Catalina 36. The description says, "Very nice center cockpit aft cabin cruiser..." Yes, the Catalina 36 does have an aft cabin. That fact alone, however, does not automatically make it a "center cockpit" boat!!! This boat has an aft cockpit!

Over the years I've seen a number of boats with aft cockpits described as having center cockpits. For God's sake, if you don't know the difference between a center cockpit and an aft cockpit, let someone who DOES write the description!

(Stupid broker aside, the boat actually looks pretty nice, and for a not-too-bad price.)

Re: Post the worst 'For Sale' picture you've seen.

Not a picture but a heads up. This cat was for sale for a long time at about $300 to $400K. It had issues like a seized engine but I think it sold in the last year. So now they say it's in Baja doing charter work but that same engine is still seized. But the price is $1.2 mill! HUH? And all pictures are the old ones from PNW.

Sand Crab,

Thanks for keeping track of all the cats out there. I hope I can get one before you so I can have you direct me to it.
